Chrissi island
Chrissi island or Gaidouronisi is located 8 miles south of Ierapetra city, in the open Libyan Sea. It is a flat islet very famous for its tropical blue water that cover all possible palette hues of blue and green, the protected forest with large juniper trees and the thousands of broken shells that make the sand pinkish.

Cretan Ethnology Museum
The Museum of Cretan Ethnology consists of an exhibition complex and one Research and Congress Centre in a separate building, where all the remaining activities of the Museum take place: Research, Education, Congresses, Library, Designing Room, Sound Laboratories, Photography Laboratories, Conservation Laboratories, Scientific Laboratories, Archives and Storerooms.

Damania dam Lake
Damania village is a small village in a Heraklion Prefecture called Monofatsi. All people there came from Minor Asia, just after the disaster in Smyrna. The village’s small dam was built to retain water from the tributary of Anapodaris River.

Diskouri Monastery
The monastery of Diskouri is located 43km east of Rethymnon and is considered one of the oldest monasteries in Crete. Its age is evidenced by the nearby richly decorated Byzantine church of St. John the Baptist.

Elafonisi
Elafonisi is located 76km west of Chania and 5km south of Chrysoskalitisa Monastery, in the southwesternmost point of Crete. Elafonisi is an oblong, which often "breaks" in two parts by water giving the impression of being a separate island. Elafonisi is a Natura 2000 protected area.

Faneromeni Lake
The dam lake of Faneromeni is located 7km north of Tympaki. The lake constructed in 2005, to meet the increased demand for irrigation of the Mesara plain. In the few years of operation, the lake of Faneromeni has become an extremely important wetland, where rare birds and animals nest.

Fortezza Fortress
The Fortress of Fortezza dominates the hill in Palaikastro, next to the old town of Rethymno and is one of the biggest fortresses of the Venetians. On this hill was built the citadel of ancient Rithimna and the Temple of Artemis Rokkaias, which have not survived.The majestic pentagonal fortress was built in 1573 and has a circumference of 1300 meters. Along the walls there are four bastions (St. Luke, St. Elias, St. Paul, St. Nicholas), who served the defense to the enemy.The fort is so big that could be a refuge for the whole city.

Fragokastelo (ie the castle of the Franks) is one of the most famous beaches of Crete, famous for the local Venetian castle on the beautiful beach and the legendary ghosts of Drosoulites. It is located 13km east of Hora Sfakion, 80km southeast of Chania, in a small valley south of the White Mountains.
